How to acquire your own sculpture?

Frequently asked questions

How do I know I’ll love the custom sculpture you make for me?

By the time you commission a work from Mainartery, you’re typically fully committed to the
style and concepts behind the work. We don’t move from one stage to the next without
full approval. Our approach has consistently turned the occasional reservation into expectation
and delight when clients grasp our ability to understand their needs.

How easy is it to work with you if I’m interstate or overseas?

Many of my (our) projects are for interstate or international clients. Communications technology makes it easy not only to talk, but also to exchange visuals and virtual mock-ups of the sculpture in development, and how it will look in your location. Where substantial and valuable works are involved, the commissioning process often benefits from an initial face-to-face meeting to cement early agreement on the scope of the project, as well as a site visit during installation.

How can I be confident that a sculpture will look and feel right in my space?

We show you detailed images of our designs and sculptures, and immerse you in a full and engaged understanding of the work you wish to acquire. We also offer a service that digitally overlays your sculpture onto photos of your proposed installation location for an accurate sense of the style and scale of the work in your surroundings.

How do you handle installation of the work?

We take responsibility for advice or actual installation whenever it is required. Smaller to medium sized sculptures usually stand on their own plinth and base. Larger works may require setting foundations or special fixings dependent on its final location. Even if we are not involved in the final installation, we often lend a consultative eye to our client’s contractor.

Do you guarantee safe delivery?

We pay meticulous attention to the handling and transport of your artwork. Our packaging is designed to withstand the most severe conditions, including falls. We also use trusted, specialist couriers. For extra peace of mind, we recommend appropriate transit insurance.

How do you guarantee your quality?

Our sculptures are made using the best processes and grades of materials so they can become legacies for the future. Providing the sculpture’s installation environment is fit for our recommendations, and that our scheduled minor preventive maintenance is upheld, there is no reason why your sculpture will not outlive you and several generations beyond.

What is your refund and return policy?

We’ve yet to receive a refund or return request in 28 years. However, in the event that you are not totally satisfied with a purchase from our range, we offer a full refund, minus packaging and shipping costs, or a credit towards another artwork.

Description

Architects and designers face design constraints that are specific to each project. At best, timeframes and budgets can focus the design process, however, the benefits of customisation, and the ability to truly deliver on creative values, involves confronting a range of very tangible risks.

Delays and budget blow outs can imperil a project. So why not collaborate towards the removal of these risks? Mainartery can help you safely push design boundaries. By effectively de-risking customised design solutions, you can fine tune your signature style and sign off on projects that stand out to clients and peers alike.

To confirm an existing sculpture’s suitability, Mainartery’s re-sizing process includes a complimentary superimposition service that will provide your team with custom photo-realistic visualisations.

To see an existing limited-edition sculpture scaled to various sizes and set against the backdrop of a relevant project can provide certainty with regard to end-user experience, while Mainartery’s expertise in both the up and down scaling of sculpture will ensure certainty with regard to exacting design parameters, budgetary constraints and tight project schedules.

Whether you are looking to scale up to a monumental size, or to a size suitable for interior display, as was the case with the recent upscaling of Ms. Solitude (scaled up from 44cm to 90cm in height), Mainartery can project manage your up scaling from preliminary visualisations through to final installation.

For a deeper sense of authentic connection to a project, let us help you create unique outcomes that enhance the reputation of your brand.

Custom Sizing—Scaling Indoor and Outdoor Artworks with Confidence

Architects and designers frequently discover remarkable artworks, only to find mismatched dimensions for their projects. “Custom Sizing” addresses this dilemma by demonstrating how existing sculptures—such as the golden solitude women bronze sculptures—can be scaled up or down. Whether a piece initially stands at 44cm but needs a 90cm or 2-meter version, Mainartery’s process ensures that creative boundaries expand without undue risk. By blending complimentary superimposition services, 3D visualizations, and artisanal scaling expertise, design teams can achieve standout results that honor both budget and timeline constraints.

Fine-Tuning Signature Style—Removing Risks of Budget Overruns and Delays

At times, overshadowing logistical complications hinder the push toward distinctive creativity. Deciding to enlarge a sculpture for outdoor installation, or downsize it for a tight interior, can cause sleepless nights about cost spikes or scheduling mishaps. Mainartery mitigates such concerns via a proven collaborative model. Architects and designers receive photo-realistic mockups, showing precisely how a piece like “Ms. Solitude” would look at various scales within real project backdrops. Armed with these previews, stakeholders gain certainty about the final effect. This step alone can save months of guesswork or rework, as the item’s proportion, presence, and synergy with surrounding architecture become clear before fabrication begins.

Up or Down—Sculpture That Enhances Location and Experience

The narrative cites a specific example: “Ms. Solitude,” originally 44cm tall, being upscaled to 90cm to suit an art collector’s preference. This process reflects broader opportunities: an interior corner might warrant a 60cm piece for subtlety, while an expansive outdoor plaza calls for a monumental silhouette that leaves an unforgettable impression. In each case, the same essential form persists—a woman in contemplative solitude—but altered scale intensifies or softens the viewer’s emotional response. Larger-than-life proportions can amplify drama and underscore significance, while smaller versions maintain intimacy and modesty.

By bridging limited-edition or custom designs with flexible sizing, the final sculpture avoids the cookie-cutter vibe that plagues mass-manufactured décor. Project managers achieve a personal aesthetic signature, all while aligning with site requirements and aesthetic goals. With dedicated oversight—from preliminary scaling visualizations to shipping and installation—unexpected hiccups vanish. Timely, transparent communication ensures the client remains well-informed at every milestone, from concept to unveiling.

Ultimately, “Custom Sizing” epitomizes a forward-thinking approach: creative solutions must adapt to real-world constraints. No longer must a designer pass on an exquisite piece solely because it’s too large for a niche or too small for a grand foyer. Mainartery’s scaling expertise meets these challenges, guaranteeing the piece remains faithful to the sculptor’s original essence. Each newly sized work retains the subtle lines, patina intricacies, and thematic resonance of the original. In an era where personalization is key, such flexible artistry cements an environment’s uniqueness, delighting both professionals and end-users who witness how even a beloved sculpture can evolve to perfectly inhabit its surroundings.
